No papers needed

Contracts on paper are becoming a thing of the past at BI. Four out of five students now sign their offer of admission using BankID.

It is not only applications for a place on a study programme that can be sent digitally using BI’s new application web. Applicants can also upload certificates, documentation and other information, and when they are offered a place on a programme, they can both accept and sign the student contract digitally using BankID. ‘We are well under way with our second round of admissions using the new system. An increasing number of our processes are being digitalised, and signing a student contract using BankID is a part of this,’ says Mona H Nymo, head of the admissions office at BI Norwegian Business School.

Students can sign a student contract using BankID in addition to signing the contract manually on paper. It was previously only possible to sign the contract manually and the acceptance process took much longer due to the postage factor. Using BankID, you can now accept an offer of admission in just a few minutes. All applicants who hold a Norwegian personal ID number and have enabled BankID can sign digitally. ‘Our experience has been very positive so far. Four out of five applicants who are able to, now sign using BankID. Digital signatures mean easier application processes for applicants, and fewer manual processes and less administrative work for us,’ says Monica H Nymo at BI Norwegian Business School.
