What responsibility does the bank have for fraud/abuse?
There is no liability limit for the bank if your BankID is misused to log into online banking and the account is lost. This applies to the Financial Agreement Act, and the Bank has full responsibility under this Act unless the Customer has committed gross negligence or has not informed the Bank as soon as possible after the Customer became or should have realized that he or she had "lost" the BankID login mechanisms.
Therefore, the BankID Agreement Limitation of Liability has, first and foremost, significance where BankID is used for other than the disposal of an account. In this case, there is a limit to the bank's liability as a bank account of NOK 100,000.
