I can’t get my xID to work, what do I do?

Oops! If you can’t use your xID, try the following:

  • Are you logged in with xID on our website www.bankid.no/xid? If so, the problem is related to the website you’re trying to use xID on. You can still use your xID on other websites.
  • xID will not work if you’re having problems with your BankID. You can easily check if your BankID works.
  • Have you agreed to the use of cookies in your browser? Cookies are one of many elements we use to recognise your xID. If you don’t accept the use of cookies in your browser, you will not be able to use your xID with this browser.
