What information is saved when I use xID?

The privacy statement for xID describes what information is saved and why.

When you become an xID user, your name, personal ID number and a unique number assigned to you when you create your xID are retrieved from the BankID service. xID needs this to enable you to register and log in to the websites you want.

When you use xID, we save a log of your use of xID on relevant websites. The log is used to safeguard your interests and consumer rights in the event of disputes relating to online purchases and orders. The log is also used for statistics and to invoice websites linked to xID.

We also use cookies to be able to deliver xID to you. xID also uses a security solution that retrieves information about your browser to verify that the cookies have not been copied or changed. xID will not give anyone access to this information.
